We returned to a scorching hot Sydney and stayed for a few days with Neil and Lisa. Here, we bought hop-on hop-off 45 day travel passes (for the Greyhound) to get us up to Cairns and then settled into having some fun in the best city in the world. We started this travel blog in 2005 when we set off on a ten-month around-the-world trip with a couple of backpacks and not much else. In 2008, we emigrated to New Zealand with four suitcases and a guitar and spent the first month travelling throughout the country, from Auckland to Christchurch, via a roundabout route.
