Thanks for your comments. Cow pat cake is buffalo droppings which are mixed with straw (to make them more combustible), patted and shaped by hand, dried in the sun, stacked and used as fuel. Well guessed! Who writes the captions? Today has been a very long travelling day perhaps not in kilometers (circa 300) but very long in time (six and a half hours).
