Druk Air service KB203 coming in from Dehli

Paro Airport is the only commercial airport in the country and desperately needs expansion. At present, the Airbus A319 is the biggest plane to operate from here. As much as Druk Air would like to expand their services the geography of the Paro valley effectively prevents it. There are plans to build a new larger international airport in the southern lowlands, yet this poses problems for two reasons. 1) The transfer time to Thimphu will be much longer, and 2) the Indian border area poses a security risk due to activity of insurgents.
