My new friends Stephanie & Anton and I arrived in Anjuna yesterday. Anjuna pretty much sucks. Unfortunately we have been spoiled from being @ the Big Fish in Palolem. First of all, the lay out is not pleasant. The lodgings are on the side paths and are pretty ratty looking and there aren't any really good restaurants around. It's been a dream of mine to visit India for about 25 years. Most people look at me funny when I tell them I want to go to India. It's dangerous, there's disease, poverty, even squalor. Why would I want to expose myself to that. The answer is simple, I love color. India is a riot of color. The saris, the painted temples and buses, billboards advertising the latest Bollywood movie. And the culture is so diverse, so many religions, races and tribes living under each others feet. To me it's incredibly fascinating.
