I have wanted to go to Villisca, Iowa and visit what is called the Ax Murder House for several years. It is widely believed to still be haunted by the ghosts of the eight people that were killed there and on occasion a figure that is believed to be the murderer makes its presence known. I like things to be simple. I’m not into fancy hotels or dining at expensive restaurants. I’d be much happier pitching a tent and cooking burgers over an open fire than doing those things.
