The orrery was bought new in 1913. It does not show Pluto which was not discovered until 1930. It was incorrect for 76 years, but now that Pluto has been demoted to a dwarf planet it is once again up to date.

This weekend was Edinburgh Doors Open Day 2011. On Saturday I took a detour past the Fire Museum and ended up at the Sheriff Department. I took a tour and watched a mock trial.
