Lol! How is this a vacation when the people you are vacationing from can still well do this? :P
Love you guys!!! Have A Blast!!!!
God Bless you all and keep you all safe.
Off to York What a fabulous place.
The coasters look real cute. They would be a neat reminder of the birds we've seen together. I hope Santa puts them in my stocking.
Have a great trip.
Love you
Hi Sweetie: You're right - the first attempt is usually the best. But this was an interesting blog and I\'m excited that you\'ve planned an interesting trip. When you are in York - don\'t miss the Jorvik Viking Centre it is really good and wander in the Shambles. These were two things I enjoyed. York Minster of course is the big church and i read a number of mysteries where that church was a promenent location. Love Mom
Dad's Day birds Hi Maryanne,
The woods in which we went for the Bird Walk was the Bois de Boulogne. The bird we found was a Green Woodpecker (not a Vulture). We did see a Great Cormorant which flew over, it looks somewhat like a Vulture. And the Heron is a Gray Heron.
I'm glad you enjoyed the Bird Walk. Sounds like you also enjoyed dinner.
Robin on the way to the Castles Hi Maryanne,
Nice to see your blog again. Sounds (and looks like) you had an interesting trip. The first bird in your photoset is an English Robin - the Robin redbreast of children's nursery rhymes. I'm so jealous. Now you have a bird on your lifelist that I haven't seen yet. Maybe we'll see on in Paris on our way to a castle :-)
I miss you! Hey I hadn't heard from you in a while and couldn't find where I had written the link to your blog but in a moment of pure brilliance I checked that facebook message you sent and here I am! It sounds like you are having a really great time! I'm not sure if I told you but Ryan and I are thinking of moving... again. Haha it keeps life interesting! This time it will be Saskatchewan. The program I wanted to go to in BC has been cancelled to review the future of the program so I'm kind of disappointed about that but now we are pushing our plans ahead by a few months. We were thinking of moving mid-April when I got back but are now probably moving in Jan. Which MEANS that while you are (hopefully) back for Christmas, if we've picked a place, you should come on a mini road trip to check it out. I guess that depends on when you are here and how much time I can steal you away from your family. We'd ideally like to have picked something before Jan 1st so Jan would be our first month even though we would probably have to move after all the new years parties and stuff. Anyway! This was not supposed to be long but I always do that. Love you and miss you! <3 Nic
Sounds like you\'re having a good time in Frankfurt in spite of the weather. I forwarded Rebecca\'s address and \'phone numbers to your e-mail, but I couldn\'t find anything relavent from Clarence on mom\'s computer. Mom\'s in Kelowna and will be back tomorrow, so I\'ll get her to check then.
I hope you have a great travel day -- walk, train, bus, plane, taxi.
Love, Dad
The Lost Museum Really interesting story Maryanne, and great pics too. Just goes to show that the best made plans of travellers don\'t always pan out but that interesting adventures evolve anyway.
Keep up the great blogging.
Love you,
Dad
display 1-3, statue There is a indeed a map of the regional public transport network on the ground. The lookout towers mark the locations of sights/attractions. Promoting both, the sights/attractions and the use of public transport to get there.
The statue is the Gutenberg memorial put up in 1840 to celebrate the invention of the book printing technology. Besides Gutenberg himself there are 2 more persons shown which played a big role in establishing book printing.
Fabulous museum Wow!! Looks great Maryanne. I identified a Magpie and a Great Gray Owl in the Bird displays.
I'm glad to see you're finding your way around and taking lots of pictures. I love to hear from you.
Love, Dad
Glad you arrived safely Hi Maryanne,
So good to hear that you arrived safely, and you\'ve checked into your hostel. Hope you can switch to a bottom bunk if someone moves out. I look forward to your future blogs from Frankfurt. Let me know if you see any interesting birds.
Love, Dad
