We had to have a lot of patience while photographing the bears, waiting for them to turn and look in the direction we wanted them too. Sometimes they were very cooperative, other times they seemed to turn away on purpose.

The bear photo workshop was a total blast. There's no way words and photos can adequately describe my time at the sanctuary. I learned much about black bears and have a new appreciation for them. For 4 days we walked among the bears photographing them and learning about their behaviors. Some of the bears there are 20-30 years old, all the way down to cubs born earlier this year.
