What was interesting was that when I told my close friends that I will be spending a month in Europe, they had initially thought that I would be going to Western Europe, as by all conventions. However, I mentioned that I am going to explore Eastern Europe. Immediately, my friends went, "Seriously? Who goes there anyway? Is it safe there?"
