Great hall of Kenilworth castle. The timber floor structure has long since gone, but you can see where the main fire place was about midway up the wall (would have been level with original floor)

28 May Update Well after leaving London, we ended up staying overnight in a brilliant little hotel in Kenilworth (Milsoms Hotel) just out of Coventry– a highly recommend hotel.
