ROCK WALLABIES
October 4th 2006 We took a trip to a granite gorge when we were in the Tablelands and fed the local residents. These cute little animals were friendly and eager to eat. They are a small, kangaroolike, grey-brown marsupial, about 30" tall and live in colonies. This type of wallaby shelters in caves or large crevices to get away from the heat, they are very agile and bound among the boulders.
