Reunification Palace

After the museum we went to Reunification Palace which is where the South Vietnamese government ruled until their fall to the North in 1975. It was built in the 60's and is an odd throwback to that time. Supposedly it was left largely untouched so you get a feel for what it looked like the day that the North invaded and ended the war on April 20, 1975

Good lord, there are a lot of mopeds here...I almost died 5 times this morning whilst touring around Saigon. Thank g-d Jeff was there to pull me out of the way. No seriously. It's unbelievable. Picture New York City foot traffic....now put them on mopeds and maybe give 'em some speed. I'm serious. Words can't describe it.
