We took a short 'island hop' from Koh Phangan to Koh Samui by boat which only took about an hour. When we arrived we went passed many beautiful hotels and restaurents until we arrived at ours...first impressions: very cracked little concrete road and car park surrounded by a lot of little 'terrace flats', not exactly the same to what the brochure/leaflet had shown.
