We arrived in Florence after a confusing train ride from Monterosso that we are going to blame on St. John the Baptist. Our hotel was purposely only 3 blocks from the Santa Maria Novella train station. It was 12:30 when we checked in to the Alba Palace Hotel. The woman at the desk was very friendly.
