Exploring a rocky pool
Of cool, clear creek water.
Immersed in their reverie
Sliding over, sliding under
Across one another.
First two, then three, four, five.
Perhaps six
Orange bellied newts
With hands and feet a-glow
Hallowing a warm, chocolate, translucent body.
