I returned to The Old Town in Quito with a strong feeling of achievement. The Galapagos cruise that had been weighing on my mind for so long had been a huge success and was safely “out of the way”. One year ago I decided that I needed to escape from the life that I had fallen into. I was mired in a muddy pond of lost souls at a software company and I could feel myself sinking. After some good advice from just about everybody, I began a bizarre 12 months in which I worked three different jobs simultaneously, slept little, and earned a lot.
Flash forward to now and I am free, ready, packed, cashed up, rested, and curious.
