The National Park that is on the border of the two countries is beautiful

The drive from San Martin to Pucon was stunning, through a national park filled with some wonderful native pine trees and with a backdrop of huge volcano. Pucon itself was hugely disappointing. Apparently it's a "love it or hate it" type of place (one guess which category we fall into). It had passed it's heyday and was shabby and completely overrun by tourists.
