What Can You Do?

Our Canadian-Scottish tour guide had a couple of catch phrases we grew to enjoy. Whenever someone in the group answered a question or she told us about a particularly innovative historic fact Kate would mutter "brilliant". If she told a gruesome or tragic story she would end it with "Well, what can you do?" I've since learned that that phrase is a biggie in Canada now.

Flying over to Scotland was a breeze. Actually there was a definite lack of a breeze as the Gulf Stream seemed to have disappeared. El Niño was wreaking havoc with weather patterns both in the States and throughout Europe.
