I arrived in La Paz on the weekend of the elections to find out that it was a no alcohol weekend - as La Paz as a reputation as a party town this meant that there were alot of disappointed people. On Sunday, the day of the election, the city was dead - a complete contrast to normal when the streets are filled with traffic and market stalls.
