Why would anyone, just for the sake of seeing a flower, come off a nine hour bus trip and get straight onto another bus for a further 21 hours? That’s what I did. I live in New Zealand. I started this blog when going on a 2006 trip through Malaysia and Thailand for three months to see the wildlife. The first 43 blog entries are for that trip, followed by ones from around NZ, Fiji, and Australia looking at animals. After another trip into southeast Asia for six months, mainly in Indonesia, I took a short sojourn into New Caledonia. Now I'm heading back into Indonesia for a couple of months.
