October 18th 2009
Monday, was Columbus day here. A public holiday but only for some schools and some government depts. We packed up in San Diego and drove to Las Vegas. Once we got out of the populated areas we were into rocky dessert areas again then into the Mojave dessert which is a boring rolling hills dessert. We did see some Joshua trees along the way though.
