The First National Flag of the Confederacy

This flag, made in 1861, has only 11 stars to represent the 11 states of the Confederacy. To avoid confusion on the battlefield, the design was changed a few years later.

Winter certainly snuck up on us! Officially I suppose it’s still autumn, but today was bleak and brisk and felt every bit like winter to me.
