Finally the trip is underway!! Today I left Arizona, heading to Ensenada. My original plan was to enter Mexico in Tecate, as the border crossing there was advertised as the easiest for obtaining the necessary documentation and permits. Pollito and Vaca

So you might be wondering who is Pollito, and what is a Vaca? Well, my name is Chris, and I am Pollito! When my girlfriend (now wife) Maureen found out that the rooster is my Chinese calendar animal for the year of my birth, she told me I am her Pollito (little chicken), even though the word for rooster in spanish is gallo. Go figure! By this token, since Maureen is an ox, I told her my nickname for her is Vaca (cow).
