Today was a very busy last day in Alpine. We got up and had a bite to eat and then headed over to the Alpine Golf Club to play a 9 hole round before it got too hot. Well, it was already hot when we got there! And, the humidity was high due to the rain that had fallen the previous 2 days. It was fun even though I got a sunburn....I thought it was too early to get burned! Luckily, it isn't too bad. ... read more

Comment on The new observatory
I guess I have to change this profile for my next trip which starts July 24 and ends August 8. I am driving with my husband from Calgary, Alberta down to Alpine, TX to visit my brother. We will be seeing some awesome sights and meeting some new friends from the internet as well as some relatives along the way. Looking forward to doing the "Margarita Trail" (the drive from Alpine, TX to Devner, CO via Santa Fe and Taos, NM - we know where all the best margartia spots are along the way!) again! Long drive but worth every kilometer!!... full info
