Irish Flag in the Yard at Kilmainham

Our tour guide reminded us that the colors of the flag represent: green, the traditional color of the Irish Catholic tradition, orange, the color of the Protestants in Ireland (from William of Orange), and white for the hope of peace between these two groups. Our tour guide described this as the peace which Ireland finally has and hopes will continue into the future.
