Ålesund burned to the ground in 1904 and was rebuilt in the art nouveau style. Here you can see a small slice of how beautiful it is.

We left Bergen via a hurtigboat northward on the beautiful west coast of Norway today. We switched to a winding bus ride for a few hours and then hopped on another smaller ferry to our final destination for the day, Ålesund.
