And so the blogging begins.... I arrived in lovely Glasgow on Monday after a rather uneventful flight. I was planning on embellishing the mundane adventures of my journey but they mostly involved me setting off metal detectors and walking into the men’s toilets and now that I have managed to get over the jet lag and do some exploring, it seems unnecessary. Every once in a while a door opens and the opportunity for adventure beckons you to abandon your life and cross the threshold.
That being said, fortuna has smiled upon me and given me the chance to take yet another year off from exams and papers and continue exploring the planet. So with a promise to Mum and Dad that I WILL finish my degree before I turn thirty, I purchased a plane ticket to Scotland and now prepare to pack my bag and set off across the pond to immerse myself in history, menial hotel work, and "real" beer.
