Although I didn't actually go to Mount Pinatubo, I spent about 13 days just 5 km north of it. Even though the eruption happened 18 years ago, the effects were still visible. The composition of the soil in my location was made up of volcanic ash that covered the area during the eruption. There was also a relocation camp for people who were displaced during the disaster
