National Grand Theater

A very impressive building along Xichang'an Jie, across from the Forbidden City and the 'Great Hall of the People' - the colossal home of the National People's Congress (a very soviet-style communist government building!). Apparently, there was some controversy when this was built, as some Beijing'ers thought it was too modern and an eye sore next to those important structures.

Just a few odds & ends to share from the past few days. To be honest, I have about 200 pics from each day, and have had a real tough time selecting the ones I did for the blog postings.
