Once we got done touring all of the ruins we wandered down to the beach to cool off. In Mayan, Tulum either means walled city, or stinky place. Tulum is surrounded by a wall. It was also built near a swamp

We headed to Mexico in November - hoping to encounter warmer temperatures and fewer tourists (like us).
