We started the last day of Elderhostel thinking we would wear the leis we got at the Polynesian Center. Then we decided to fiddle with the ones we made the night before to wear to breakfast. Approaching our fiftieth wedding anniversary, my wife and I decided to celebrate by visiting Hawai'i. We have never splurged like this during our married life. But it seemed like a good idea when we made the decision. And we are very glad we went. Our daughter bought us a digital camera a year ago. On this trip it became both a blessing and a curse.
