Bill Koch and President Kennedy (Mr. Koch is the third from the right, standing). On January 10, 1962 Bill Koch was present when JFK signed legislation creating the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial in Lincoln City, Indiana. Witnessing the signing are, from left to right: Congressman Fred Schwengel of Iowa, Isadora Skora, a Lincoln scholar from Evansville, Ind., Senator Vance Hartke of Indiana, Bill Koch, Roy T. Combs, president of the Indiana Lincoln Foundation, and Congressman Winfield K. Denton of Evansville. This photo and one of the pens JFK used that day are on display at Holiday World Theme Park in Santa Claus, Indiana. A backgrounder about Holiday World’s Lincoln Collection is attached. Yes, we actually have two precious presidential signatures from Mr. Lincoln.
