I spent a few days in Kanchanaburi, staying at a beautiful spot right on the river Kwai. The famous bridge over the river Kwai is about a quarter mile down the river. The Tiger Temple was recommended by a few people. All of the pictures I saw were of robed monks hanging out with tigers, sounded pretty good.
