January 18th 2009 On Tuesday 13th Jan 2009 we got up early to catch the train to Florina, the birth town of Michael. Florina’s population is 16,771 people (2001 census). It is in a wooded valley about 13 km south of the border with the former Yugoslavia Republic of Macedonia.
