Bhimashankar & Shivneri, Pune: Heavens looking down 400 steps up

Park your cars at the base of Shivneri fort. There are 9 darwaza (gates) on the fort. You have to cross past 7 before you reach the top. 2 darwaza are on the top. The first darwaza is named Maha darwaza.

This turned out to be a nice but tiring one-day trip for us. Bhimashankar was planned. Shivneri was not. I thank Lord Shiva for the detour.
