burning man

we heard of a party in mississippi that was being held by volunteers in the area who were affiliated with burning man. huge art pieces made of furniture and things of the like were put in this giant fire pit, and we danced around it and had a grand old hippie time... that is, until someone decided to set off a flare that would land in the forest a few meters away, spark a mini forest fire, and burn 6 acres of land. it was terrifying, and became rather hectic trying to gather all the drunk kids together so we could all leave safely.
