We are getting to know Santiago airport really well now, this is our 3rd visit in 4 weeks. Our first impression of Easter Island was that it wasn't long enough to land our plane. We were later to learn that not only is it big enough but it's built to accomodate an emergency landing of the shuttle and the Concord has also landed there....so much for my knowledge of airstrips!
