Im once again writing this entry from my favourite internet cafe in Chengdu. It's right round the corner from my hostel and even has sofas for skyping on. Perfect. After a few years of the daily grind, I quit my job, bought a few plane tickets and set off around the world. After a 46 hour flight from Amsterdam - Auckland (with layovers), I arrived in New Zealand, where I spent two weeks. I then flew to Bangkok, and spent the next three months or so making my way through Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. I walked accross the Chinese border in July 2008, with six weeks left until my flight home from Shanghai. Those six weeks were of course never going to be enough, and I have still never been to Shanghai... I decided to let my ticket expire and stay... full info
