We got suckered into going to a fundraiser that turned out to be more like a bad wedding reception

Our host at Lucky's told us that the local library, in fact the only library in tonga was having a fundraiser and would be serving local food and entertain us with local dance. all for the price of $40... sounded like a good idea. Upon arrival we discovered there was not one native tongan in attendance... the library was in fact a library for the eruopean settlers and visitors. The local food was in fact italian and amricana and worse yet the entertainment was a DJ. We relied on our host for a lift back to our accomidation so were stuck at an event that was your nightmare wedding reception scenario. bring on the cheap drinks.....

Well this post has taken much longer than expected to get up here. I'll keep the text short and leave you to the photos. Vava'u was the treat of the trip.
