So, finally I get round to writing my first blog entry for China. My flight out of here leaves in four days, but obviously I've been busy getting that changed to a more suitable/sensible date. After a few years of the daily grind, I quit my job, bought a few plane tickets and set off around the world. After a 46 hour flight from Amsterdam - Auckland (with layovers), I arrived in New Zealand, where I spent two weeks. I then flew to Bangkok, and spent the next three months or so making my way through Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. I walked accross the Chinese border in July 2008, with six weeks left until my flight home from Shanghai.
