We left the castle with an overcast sky, still in our slightly warmer cloths and started to drive south. It wasn’t long before we hit the huge hops fields feeding the hundreds of German breweries. It was lovely to see this part of the world in the summer with its crops rather than the usual snow covered ground we do every ski season.
