Pier 39

We walked down the Embarcadero to Pier 39. There was so much to take in - Alcatraz in the distance, the fairground-like atmosphere at the pier, all the sights and sounds were a bit overwhelming. Here you can see a few of the famous sea lions sunning themselves, although at this time of year most of them have migrated further south to breed.
