The Monsoons Win: Onward to Africa June 20th 2008 The monsoons effectively halted any hiking in northern India and made transportation really difficult. I quit my cushy job in health care software in January of 2008 and hit the road with my younger brother Darren (the one on the left of the photo). We had plane tickets to South East Asia and not much of a plan beyond that. It turned into one of the best years of my life. And, as a result of this blog, I convinced many of my friends to leave their uninspiring jobs and travel as well!
I am now finishing medical school in the United States and starting residency shortly. Money is tight, becoming a MD has me pinned down, but I jump at every opportunity I can to get out on the road.... full info
