my favorite female in the park, Luna the 6 week-old baby puma.

In addition to daily work with Roy I took on a nighttime babysitting job with Luna. Her mother was killed by hunters and she and her baby sister were brought to the refuge at only about 2 weeks old. Sadly, her sister died and Luna is still fragile and battling occasional illness. Her milk is not quite sufficient in nutrients and thus she is smaller than she should be for her age. Nonetheless, she´s holding on, growing a bit more now, and jumping and climbing like a healthy kitty. We have high hopes for her survival.
