The Seidl family

The most unusual cycle tourists that I have met are the Seidl family. Hannes and Anja from Munich in Germany are touring with their 3 year old son Oscar and 1 year old daughter Sophie. They have gone 9,000 kilometres so far from Mexico City and are heading to Ushuaia in southern Argentina. I also met Anja´s parents who were travelling on bikes in the opposite direction. El Calafate (Argentina) to Cochrane (Chile)

After leaving El Calafate I spent three very enjoyable days cycling around Lago Argentino and Lago Viedma whilst listening to the White Stripes to get ot El Chalten. A pleasing combination of beautiful lakes, jagged ice capped mountains and funky rock. At the end of the first day I turned off the road and asked to camp in Estancia Irene.
