Chiang Mai is the northern city of Thailand and although it is seen by less people than the greater Bangkok area, it is a must see place and very popular. It is higher and more in the jungle region and although it is a large city it is kind of like Boise in the sense that it is a rural city. This is the area of the Elephant training camps, arts and crafts, and wonderful food. We begin in the city. ... read more
