Having recently made the acquisition of a fresh roadkill hyrax, Kayna invited me to her friend's house so I could meet Akela, the Spotted Eagle Owl (actually, a subspecies called a Greyish Eagle Owl) for whom she had decided to stop and bag the mutilated meal.
