This region of Quebec is most dear to my heart because it is where I was born. I hail from a very small village called Pointe-à-la-Garde. It is at the entrance to the Baie des Chaleurs,(roughly translated as Bay of Heat), so named by Jaques Cartier in 1534 as he sailed into said bay, probably on July 15th. Since it the only real hot day we have! (not!) The trip around the peninsula, is a must, ... read more
