Rainbow Beach is a small town on the cost of Queensland but was my gateway to the largest sand island in the world Fraser! I took a 4x4 self drive safari with Dingos, the hostel I was staying in, in Rainbow Beach. The hostel itself was good with cheap grub and a very social atmosphere.
