We left Vienna at 8am on Friday morning for a shorter bus trip this time, arriving in Salzburg at around 12:30pm. We took a bus to our hostel over on the Old Town side of Salzburg, right near Festungberg hill, where the Festung Hohensalzburg ("High Salzburg Fortress") sits.
